With $60 Million Gift, San Francisco Ballet Plans Focus on New Works

San Francisco Ballet has announced a $60 million contribution from an anonymous donor, marking the largest donation in the company’s history and one of the biggest ever to an American dance company. A majority of the gift, $50 million, will be used to strengthen the company’s endowment and support the creation and acquisition of new works. The remaining $10 million will help cover operating costs in the upcoming seasons.
